Technical information. NWM is best viewed with the following OpenBVE settings in the options panel if your graphics card is capable::. Interpolation:. Mode: Anisotropic filtering. Level of anisotropic filtering: At least 6. Transparency level: Smooth. If your graphics card has a settings panel, switch on Antialiasing too.
Backface Culling:. OpenBVE has a feature called Backface Culling, which when disabled will repeat an objects texture on it's rear side. NWM2011 objects have back face textures built in, to enable the routes to be viewed backwards. You must ensure Backface Culling is ON (toggle using F11 key while driving the sim). If backface culling is off, textures will display z-fighting (flashing) or reversed textures, typically on signs.
Changing direction:. Some of the diagrams require a reverse of direction:. In openBVE: Press ESCAPE then choose 'Jump to stations', then 'CHANGE ENDS' from the menu. In BVE4: Right- click with your mouse and click 'CHANGE ENDS' from the drop down destination box, or leave the sim running, put the reverser to neutral, and in a few minutes the sim will change ends for you. Train Plugins:. The route files are currently set up to make use of Simon Gathercole's Windows Uk train safety systems plugins for trains.
UKMUt. dll/UKSpt. dll/UKDt. dll while Anthony Bowden's multi-platform UKTrainSys plugin is still in development. To use Anthony's train plugin in your trains please download the plugin and relevant configuration files from Railsimroutes. net and unzip to the correct train folder/s. Anthony has kindly uploaded configurations for the trains available from Trainsimcentral.
You will need to open the NWM route files in notepad or similar, and to search all instances of ". Beacon 23;0;0;-1," & ". Beacon 23;0;0;1," then replace all with ". Beacon 23;-1;0;0,". This is because the plugins have different uses for the same beacon. We'll update the trains on TSC and the NWM routes once the excellent UKTrainSys is released with it's full features. Please read our Terms and Conditions before installing this add-on.
